Toyota recently revealed their all-new Urban Cruiser Hyryder hybrid SUV for our market. The new offering from Toyota rivals other C-Segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

Hyryder Features Misses Over Seltos

We put the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder against the Kia Seltos to tell you 7 features that are missing in the Hyryder but present in the Seltos.

1. Diesel And Turbo Petrol Engines

The Kia Seltos comes with turbo diesel and turbo petrol engine options, along with manual and automatic transmission options. Meanwhile, Toyota offer the Hyryder with mild- and strong-hybrid powertrain, which deliver high fuel efficiency but not great performance. The 1.4L turbo petrol in the Seltos produces 140PS of power against the Hyryder 1.5L hybrid’s 115PS.

2. Power-Adjustable Driver’s Seat

The Kia Seltos comes with an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder, on the other hand, comes with a manually adjustable driver seat and it also lacks adjustment for underthigh support.

3. Rear Sun Shades

The Seltos comes with factory-fitted window sunshades for rear passengers. These help in cutting the harsh sunlight and also keep the cabin temperature cool. In addition to that, as these are factory-fitted, checkposts and cops shouldn’t be a problem.

4. Blindspot Monitor

The Kia Seltos offers blindspot monitor in the instrument cluster whenever you use any of the indicators. This feature is really handy while driving on congested city roads and highways. The Hyryder, on the other hand, gets a 360-degree parking camera but lacks the blindspot monitor system.

5. Front Parking Sensors

The Seltos comes with front parking sensors along with a 360-degree parking camera. Meanwhile, the Hyryder gets a 360-degree parking camera along with a camera-based alert system for pedestrians and traffic.

6. Rain-Sensing Wipers

The Kia Seltos offers rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlamps whereas the Hyryder only gets automatic headlamps. Rain-sensing wipers not only turn on automatically when the sensors detects rain but also sets the speed for the wipers as per the rain intensity.
