    A look at the upcoming Ford model launches in India

    Ford India recently launched its all new Freestyle CUV in the market. The Ford Freestyle’s introductory pricing came as a pleasant surprise, as it’s starting 5.09 lakhs tag is undercutting the Figo hatch on which it is based. Ford also launched the updated 2018 Ford EcoSport SUV quite recently with a whole host of updates and new Dragon petrol engine at the same price range as its preceding model. Thus, it is believed that Ford will up the ante with the launch of many more new models, which will come along with competitive pricing to make things really interesting. This strategy of Ford should boost the company’s sales in India considerably.

    Take a look at the upcoming launches from the house of this American auto major in India:

    Ford EcoSport Titanium S and Signature Edition

    Ford EcoSport SUV will come in 2 new variants, namely – Titanium S and Signature Edition. Both these variants will come with a power electric roof and other sporty features. While the Signature Edition will come with a spoiler and sporty allow wheels, the Titanium S will be placed at the top of the EcoSport lineup and will come with more added features including a black theme in the form of darkened new grille, smoked headlights and fog lamps.

    Moreover, Ford India will also be introducing a 6 speed manual transmission on the new 1.5 litre 3 cylinder Dragon petrol mill on the top variants. The Titanium S variant is also thought to come with a comparatively stiffer suspension system.

    The two new variants of the EcoSport are expected to launch within May, 2018.

    Refreshed new Figo and Aspire

    The facelift models of the Figo hatchback and its twin sedan Aspire have been testing in India for some time, and are expected to launch by mid-2018. The cars will get very similar updates.

    Both the Figo and Aspire facelift models will flaunt a new front grille, revised bumpers and probably new allows among other mild exterior changes. On the inside there will be a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a piano finish centre console among other updates.

    Under the hood, the Figo and Aspire will get the new 1.2L Dragon petrol mill that debuted on the Freestyle.
