In this August 2022 Tata car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Tata Motors for the last month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Tata cars’ sales improved and which ones declined. Lastly, the table with monthly sales for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend of all Tata cars.

August 2022 - Tata Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

The Nexon has been the big volume car in Tata Motors’ portfolio since its launch and now Punch is following closely in second spot.
The Nexon and Punch are the only 2 cars in Tata’s portfolio with a 5-figure monthly sales figure. The Tiago is a distant 3rd, holding the podium spot since June.
The Tigor and Nexon are the top gainers with 108% and almost 51% YoY growth, respectively.
Altroz is the bigger loser, with just shy of 20% decline in numbers, followed by 5.3% decline in the numbers of Harrier.
Interestingly, its close cousin, the Safari saw a gain of 3.3% in the same month Harrier saw a decline.
YoY change for the Punch is not available as it wasn’t on sale in August 2021.

August 2022 - Tata Car Sales Figures - MoM Change

In terms of MoM change, 4 out of 7 cars witnessed some growth, while the rest – Tigor, Harrier and Altroz – lost 36%, 20.22% and 12.5%, respectively
The Nexon, which saw a negligible drop of 0.6% in July MoM, rose back up with over a 6% rise in August
The Tiago was the top gainer for August 2022 MoM comparison with 17% growth, followed by the Punch with 9% growth
