BMW i5 M60 xDrive Launched In India – Offers A Range Of Over 500km | V3Cars

BMW have launched the i5 electric sedan in India at a price of Rs. 1.20 crore (ex-showroom). Brought to India via the CBU route, the i5 is only available in 1 variant – the top-spec M60 xDrive.

BMW i5 M60 xDrive Range, Electric Motor And Battery Specs

The BMW i5 is equipped with an 83.9kWh battery pack which sends power to electric motors at the front and rear axle. The total power output of the i5 is rated at 601PS of power and 795Nm of torque. The electric sedan offers a WLTP-certified range of 516km per charge. BMW claims a 0-100kmph time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 230kmph.

BMW offer the i5 with a complementary 11kW wall charger. Customers also get the option of a 22kW AC charger at additional cost. The i5 can be charged from 10-80 percent in under 30 minutes using a 205kW DC charger.

BMW i5 M60 xDrive Features

In terms of features, the BMW i5 M60 xDrive comes with a 14.9-inch digital driver’s display and a 12.30-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other highlights include dynamic cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, and ADAS features like lane departure alert, front collision warning, blind spot detection, and more.

The BMW i5 M60 xDrive also gets M-specific changes such as carbon-fibre trim on the dashboard and a flat-bottom M leather wrapped steering wheel. Other highlights include a Bowers & Wilking audio system, panoramic sunroof, 4-zone climate control, and a 36-degree surround view camera.

The BMW i5 slots in between the i4 and i7 in India. The i4 electric sedan is priced at Rs. 72.50 lakh while the i7 luxury sedan’s prices start from Rs. 2.03 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
