BMW M340i xDrive Facelift Launched In India At Rs. 69.20 Lakh | V3Cars

BMW India launched the facelifted M340i xDrive in India at Rs. 69.20 lakh ex-showroom. The bookings for the performance sedan are now open whereas deliveries will start from January 2023.

Up front, the new M340i facelift comes with a redesigned kidney grille that’s larger than before. The grille is flanked by new LED headlights featuring twin inverted LED DRLs. The front bumper features aggressive air ducts to feed air to the 3.0L turbocharged petrol engine. Around the side, the new M340i xDrive comes with M alloy wheels that were not a part of the standard fitment earlier. Furthermore, BMW India also offer a ton of cosmetic and performance enhancements as official accessories.

2023 BMW M340i xDrive Facelift Interior

While the exterior design gets a small nip and tuck, the interior of the new M340i hosts some considerable changes. It now gets a curved twin screens setup that sits on the top of the dashboard. Other features of the new M340i include an M steering wheel, M sport seats, M gear shifter, 3-zone climate control, 16-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system and ambient lighting.

While the M340i continues to make use of the same 3.0L twin-turbocharged straight-6 petrol engine, it now gets a 48V mild-hybrid setup. Surprisingly, the power of the M340i facelit has gone down compared to the model it replaces. It now produces 374PS of power whereas the earlier model produced 387PS of power. The torque output, on the other hand, remains the same at 500Nm, which is transmitted to all 4 wheels via the 4-wheel drivetrain and an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It can do 0-100kmph in just 4.4 seconds and it currently is the quickest BMW assembled in India.

BMW M340i xDrive doesn’t have any direct rivals in the country. In terms of price, the M340i rubs its shoulders with the Audi S5 and Mercedes-AMG A45S. The M340i is popular among enthusiasts as it offers impressive performance at a relatively attainable price tag, which continues with the facelift as well.
