In this December 2022 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all B1-segment hatchbacks in India. We’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales where applicable. B1-Segment Hatchback December 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change

The Tata Tiago was the top YoY gainer in December 2022, with a growth of 65%
The Tiago was closely followed by the Ignis with 63% rise in dispatches over December 2021
The Swift and WagonR were the only YoY losers with a 23% and 48% sales decline in December 2022, respectively
Despite the YoY decline in dispatches, the Swift and WagonR remain the top selling cars in the category

B1-Segment Hatchback December 2022 Car Sales - MoM Change

The Tata Tiago was the top gainer in the category in terms of MoM comparison, with a 19% increase over November. In comparison, the Tiago was the top loser in November MoM comparison.
The WagonR and Swift followed in second and third place, with a loss of 18% and 12%, respectively.
The WagonR was the top loser, with a 31% fall in sales in December MoM.
