In this December 2022 Toyota car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Toyota for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Toyota cars’ sales improved and which ones declined. Lastly, the table with monthly sales for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend of all Toyota cars.
December 2022 - Toyota Car Sales Figures - YoY Change
- Urban Cruiser dispatches declined over the last few months and in November for the first time, Toyota saw zero dispatches for the subcompact SUV. It was discontinued by the carmaker soon after.
- Amongst the mass-market offerings from the carmaker, Glanza was the only YoY gainer for Toyota, with a growth of 70%.
- The Innova Crysta dispatches dropped by almost 100% compared to December 2021 in December 2022.
- Toyota launched Innova Hycross in December, this explains the decline in numbers of Innova Crysta. Innova Hycross should have comparable sales to what Crysta had before the news of Hycross launching hit the market.
- Fortuner also saw a YoY decline of 12% in December 2022 comparison.
- Toyota’s recently launched Hyryder SUV sat at the second spot in terms of sales volume for the brand.

December 2022 - Toyota Car Sales Figures - MoM Change
- Most mass-market cars from Toyota saw a decline in MoM comparison for December 2022, except the Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder, which saw a growth of 1.64% and 35%, respectively.
- All the D-segment cars from the manufacturer reported a decline in MoM comparison with Innova Crysta at the top with over 98% decrease.
- Fortuner reported a MoM decrease of 18% in dispatches.
