MG Motor India recently took the wraps off the 2023 Hector ahead of its launch. The carmaker is likely to announce the prices of the Hector and Hector Plus at the 2023 Auto Expo. Ahead of its launch, we share the ground clearance for all the variants of the new Hector.

The figures in the table above denote the laden ground clearance for the respective powertrain options. The laden ground clearance is measured with full seating and luggage capacity and 90% fuel.

2023 MG Hector Facelift — Design

The new Hector comes with an updated design that gives it an aggressive stance over the current Hector. Up front, it gets a large chrome grille with diamond-mesh finishing which is flanked by sleek LED DRLs. The new Hector also includes auto turn indicators that is a segment-first feature. While there are no changes on the side profile, the new Hector gets a connected LED light bar for the tail lights and large Hector lettering spread across the boot lid.

2023 MG Hector Facelift — Interiors

On the inside, the new Hector comes with an updated dashboard with a generous use of soft touch materials. Taking the centre stage is a large 14-inch touchscreen infotainment that offers both wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

2023 MG Hector Facelift — Powertrain Details

The new Hector continues to come with the same powertrain options as before. Its 1.5L turbo petrol engine proudes 143PS of power at 5000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 3600rpm. This engine comes with a choice of 6-speed manual or a CVT. The 2.0L turbo diesel engine produces 170PS of power at 3750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 2550rpm. The diesel engine continues to come with a sole 6-speed manual transmission only.

2023 MG Hector Facelift — Launch Details

MG will announce the prices of the new Hector at the 2023 Auto Expo. Alongside the new Hector, MG will also showcase the new Hector Plus with both 6- and 7-seater options and the price announcement is also likely to take place on the same day itself.
