Honda is all set to launch the City facelift on March 2, 2023. The City facelift will offer the choice of a normal petrol and a strong hybrid petrol powertrain. While the current City e:HEV strong hybrid is a lot more pricey than the normal petrol variants, Honda plan to rectify this with the facelift. Read on to know how.

Honda aim to make the strong hybrid version of the City a lot more affordable than before. The current City e-HEV, which was launched in May 2022, is only available in the top-spec ZX variant. It is currently priced at Rs. 19.89 lakh (ex-showroom). While the price of the top-spec City Hybrid is not likely to come down, Honda aim to make the strong hybrid City sedan more affordable by offering it in a lower variant.
Honda are set to introduce the base V variant to the City e:HEV strong hybrid. It is likely to offer a similar set of features as the City normal petrol’s V variant. To make the City hybrid sedan more affordable, the V strong hybrid variant is likely to miss out on features like advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and electronic parking brake that are available with the e:HEV ZX variant. The introduction of the V variant will make the strong hybrid powertrain more accessible and bring it closer, in terms of price, to the normal petrol variants.
