Hyundai has increased the prices of the i20 hatchback by up to Rs 13,000. It now starts from Rs 6.85 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Hyundai has increased prices of the petrol variants only while the prices of the diesel variants remain unchanged. The carmaker has not revealed the reason for the price hike yet.

Hyundai offers the new i20 in four variants: Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta(O). There are three engine options on offer: 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (88PS/114Nm), 1.0-litre turbo petrol (120PS/172Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (100PS/240Nm). While the 1.2-litre petrol engine is offered with a 5-speed MT and a CVT, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol is available with a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT automatic. The 1.5-litre diesel engine is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission only.
Features on offer include auto LED headlamps, height-adjustable driver’s seat, wireless mobile charging, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, electric sunroof, digital instrument cluster, cruise control, auto AC, Bose sound system, air purifier, parking camera, up to 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill launch assist and electronic stability control.
The i20 takes on the likes of the Tata Altroz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and the Volkswagen Polo.
