Hyundai India have officially entered the commercial mobility segment with the launch of their dedicated taxi-focused offerings – the Prime HB hatchback and Prime SD sedan. With this move, Hyundai aim to tap into the growing demand from fleet and taxi operators looking for reliability and comfort with low running costs.

Bookings for the Hyundai Prime Taxi range are now open across all Hyundai dealerships for a token amount of Rs. 5,000.
Hyundai have positioned their new Prime range of taxis aggressively, with the Prime HB priced from Rs. 5.99 lakh and the Prime SD starting at Rs. 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Both taxi’s are offered with Hyundai’s proven 1.2L CNG bi-fuel 4-cylinder engine along with a factory fitted CNG tank, making them well-suited for high-mileage commercial usage.
The company claims a fuel efficiency of 27.32kmpkg for the Prime HB and 28.40kmphkg for the Prime SD.
Unlike many entry-level commercial vehicles, Hyundai have equipped both Prime models with a strong list of safety and comfort features. Standard safety equipment includes 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, emergency stop signal, 3-point seatbelts for all occupants and a company-fitted speed limiting function capped at 80kmph.

Hyundai are offering a range of optional accessories tailored to commercial usage. These include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear camera and a 3-year warranty. Fleet operators can also opt for a vehicle location tracking device with 4 panic buttons, improving safety and compliance with regulations.
To further strengthen their commercial proposition, Hyundai are offering a specially designed extended warranty covering the 4th and 5th year or up to 1,8 lakh km. The company claims a low maintenance cost of around 47 paise per kilometre, helping fleet owners better manage long-term expenses.
Flexible finance options with repayment tenures of up to 72 months are also available, making the Prime HB and Prime SD accessible to first-time taxi owners as well as expanding fleet operators. Hyundai will additionally provide trained Fleet Care Advisors at dealerships to support commercial customers.
