Hyundai have updated the Venue SUV with BS6 phase-2 compliant engines ahead of the April 2023 deadline. Along with the engine update, the Venue N Line also received a new feature.

The Hyundai Venue N Line now comes with an idle start/stop feature. It shuts the engine off if you stand still for a certain period of time and restarts the engine once you press the brake pedal. This feature not only improves fuel efficiency but also reduces CO2 emissions.

The 1.0L turbo petrol engine of the Venue N Line now complies with BS6 phase-2 and road driving emission (RDE) standards, which will come into effect in April 2023. Furthermore, the 1.0L turbo petrol engine is also E20 fuel-ready, which will roll out in 2025. This engine continues to offer 120PS of power at 6000rpm and 172Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 4000rpm. It comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission whereas the regular variants of the Venue also offer the option of a 6-speed automated manual transmission.

Hyundai India recently hiked the prices of the Venue N Line by Rs. 44,000 as part of their annual price revision. This price hike also includes the cost of the updated engines and feature additions. The Venue N Line rivals other B2-segment SUVs like the Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
