Jeep have revealed almost all the features and specifications of the Meridian, save for a few. Now, what remains to be seen are the prices. Jeep will reveal the Meridian 3-row SUV’s prices during its launch in June this year. Prior to this, the American carmaker aim to open bookings in May. Expect test drives to begin around the same time.

The Jeep Meridian is essentially an elongated Compass with seating for 7 people. It gets some cosmetic changes over the Compass, including a revised front grille, headlamps, bumper, taillights and alloy wheels.
The interior layout is more or less the same as the Compass but uses more premium, soft-touch materials. The interior is finished in brown, including the dashboard and leather upholstery.
The Meridian will use a 2.0L turbo-diesel engine in the same state of tune as the Compass. It produces 170PS of power at 3750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 4500rpm. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed TC automatic. You can get the car in front-wheel drive and 4-wheel-drive options.
The Jeep Meridian will take on other 7-seater SUVs in the segment like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and the Isuzu MU-X. A popular 7-seater MPV, the Toyota Innova Crysta is also available at a similar price point. We will soon update you with the expected prices of the Meridian, so stay tuned for that.
