Jeep India are set to launch the Meridian 3-row SUV in June 2022. Although the Jeep Meridian looks different from the Compass, both SUVs share their underpinnings, equipment and powertrain. Here, we’ve stacked the Jeep Meridian and Jeep Compass against each other to check out their differences in terms of dimensions and powertrain choices.

We’ve also compared the Jeep Meridian’s expected prices against the Compass’ current prices.
The 2022 Jeep Meridian is 364mm longer, 44mm wider and 60mm taller than the Compass. It also gets a 158mm longer wheelbase than that of the Compass. While the wheel size of both the Meridian and Compass is the same, the Meridian rides 36mm higher off the ground than the Compass, with a ground clearance of 214mm.
The 2022 Jeep Meridian gets the same 2.0L turbo diesel engine seen on the Compass. It produces the same 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque. However, Jeep India revealed that the Meridian uses a different clutch to offer a lighter and smoother operation.

Jeep India will announce the prices of the Meridian in June 2022. It will go up against the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, Hyundai Tucson and the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.
