Kia Cross 1.5 Lakh Export Milestone In 3 Years | V3Cars

Kia India recently crossed the 1.5 lakh export milestone. The South-Korean car manufacturer have shipped 1,50,395 units of its SUVs and MUVs to 95 countries in 3 years, starting September 2019. Kia manufactured all these exported models at their Anantpur manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh.

Of the models exported, the Seltos holds the highest share. The Seltos accounted for 72% of the overall exports, followed by the Sonet and the Carens. Kia shipped 54,153 units in the first 8 months of 2022, making it the largest utility vehicle (UV) exporter of the year. Kia India ware also the largest UV exporter in India in 2021.

In August 2022, Kia India recorded their highest ever monthly exports, dispatching 8,174 units. Since the brand started shipping the Seltos in September 2019, Kia India have exported cars to the Middle East, Africa, Central & South America, Mexico and Asia Pacific markets.

Meanwhile, Kia India are likely to reveal the Seltos facelift at the Auto Expo 2023 and launch it in the country later next year. Kia also recently installed India’s fastest EV charger, rated at 240kW, in Kochi.
