The recent GST revision for cars in India (effective September 22, 2025) could lead to significant price reductions across Mahindra’s portfolio. Small cars now attract 18% GST (down from 28%), while larger cars are taxed at 40% (versus ~43–50% earlier, including cess).

2. Mahindra Bolero

Based on the information we have received from our sources, we can say that the typical price drop for the 2025 Bolero is likely to be around 10% across most variants. In terms of absolute amount, the post GST price drop of Mahindra Bolero may stretch as far as Rs. 1.10 lakh with the Bolero B6 (O) turbo diesel-manual variant.

3. Mahindra XUV 3XO

Mahindra’s B2-segment SUV, the XUV 3XO is likely to get a price drop of around 8.8% to 9.0% across most petrol variants. The XUV 3XO diesel variants, on the other hand, are expected to get a price drop of around 10.41%. In terms of absolute amount, the post GST price drop of Mahindra XUV 3XO may stretch as far as Rs. 1.56 lakh with the XUV 3XO turbo diesel-manual variant.

4. Mahindra Scorpio Classic

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is likely to get a price drop of up to 5.7% across most variants. The Scorpio Classic S11 diesel-manual variant is expected to get the biggest price drop of up to Rs. 1.01 lakh.

Mahindra’s popular SUV, the 2025 Scorpio N, is expected to get a price drop of around 5.66% across variants. In terms of the biggest price drop among the Scorpio N variants, the top Scorpio N Z8L Carbon ADAS variant is expected to get a price drop of up to Rs. 1.3 lakh.

6. Mahindra Thar

The Mahindra Thar is expected to get a price drop of around 5.4% to 5.75% across most 4WD variants. For the 1.5L RWD manual variants, the price drop is around 10.3%. In terms of absolute amount, the post GST price drop of Mahindra Thar may stretch as far as Rs. 1.35 lakh with the Thar 1.5L turbo diesel-manual 2WD variant.
