    In just a month post launch, the demand for the car sky-rocketed, and over 21,000 units of KUV100 was booked. In 2016 June the car generated highest sales and was sold in higher numbers than Bolero. For years Mahindra has been a pioneer of the utility vehicle market, but the eminence of Mahindra SUV’s faded, due to the cut-throat competition that exists in this segment. The cars that elevated competition levels in the SUV market is Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster.

    For people who are keen on buying the KUV100, it is a great car to buy, it has so many fascinating features. The most striking feature of the car is the styling, it has a unique tall design and certainly stands out in the crowd. For some interesting information, the car has a distinctive styling and it is new and has not been used on any other car.

    The features that highlight the fantastic style statement of the car is professionally sculpted pulled back headlights, and the glass area enhances the macho stance of the car. The small tail lights make the car look incredibly sporty and on the whole KUV100 looks amazingly muscular and sophisticated.

    The interior of KUV100 is great with loads of features and good level of convenience, the styling of the steering wheel is amazing. The instrument cluster looks classy and the readability effect of it is great. It is a great experience to sit inside the KUV100, the material quality is top class, and one the center console is gear lever and three air-con knobs. The only concern is the hand brake, it is a little difficult to use and it has to be pulled really hard for it to function. Take a look at the world-class in-dash audio system with USB, Bluetooth and aux-in connectivity.

    KUV100 is powered with a robust 1.2-liter G80 mFalcon engine that generates 82bhp. The other mill is a diesel 1.2-liter power-train that generates 77bhp. The power-trains are coupled to 5-speed manual transmission and an important point to remember is these are new engines designed by Mahindra. The car moves on a class-performing mileage of 25kmpl on highways and 22kmpl on ideal city roads.

    The KUV100 is a safe car to drive in, all variants have ABS, and dual airbags is an optional feature offered on all trims. The other safety features present are door open indicator, central door locking, anti-theft security alarm, engine immobilizer, ISOFIX child seat fitted on back seat, anti-slip clips for driver side door mats and child safety locks on back doors.

    Now what are the positive and negative features of KUV100, the standout features are creative design, powerful engine, world-class safety, vibrant and spacious interiors. The negative features are high noise, vibration and harshness levels from diesel engine, small wheels and small fuel tank. The car is sold for a price of Rs 4.5 to 7.1 lakhs.
