Mahindra have unveiled the 2027 Scorpio Lifestyler, giving us the first look at the production-spec lifestyle pickup based on the Scorpio N. The India-spec lifestyle pickup will be priced below Rs. 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the Scorpio N, it gets a longer double-cab body, a dedicated cargo bed, a redesigned dashboard, a 2.2L diesel engine and 2WD and 4WD options. Mahindra also showcased 3 themed versions called Reef, Trail and Valley.

The Scorpio Lifestyler carries familiar Scorpio design cues but is underpinned by Mahindra’s next-generation body-on-frame architecture. Mahindra have developed it as a global midsize pickup rather than merely adding a cargo bed to the Scorpio N.
The production-spec Lifestyler traces its origins to the Global Pik Up concept that Mahindra showcased in Cape Town, South Africa, in August 2023.

At the front, the lifestyle pickup features a large rectangular grille with a gloss-black honeycomb pattern and ‘SCORPIO’ lettering. Slim LED daytime running lamps and vertically oriented LED fog lamps give it a distinct face compared to the Scorpio N.
The Lifestyler uses a traditional double-cab layout with a separate cargo bed behind the passenger compartment. Although Mahindra have not revealed its dimensions, the pickup is expected to be longer and have a longer wheelbase than the Scorpio N, which measures 4662mm in length and has a 2750mm wheelbase.

Other exterior highlights include pronounced wheel arches with black cladding, roof rails, large alloy wheels and individual rear tail lamps. The tailgate features prominent ‘MAHINDRA’ lettering, while the high-mount stop lamp is positioned above the rear windscreen.
Although the Lifestyler is based on the Scorpio N, Mahindra have given it a substantially different dashboard.
The cabin features a vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system at the centre of the dashboard, accompanied by physical controls for frequently used functions such as the air conditioning system.
The pickup also gets a free-standing digital instrument cluster and a new 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel. These changes give the Lifestyler a more contemporary-looking cabin than the Scorpio N.
Mahindra have confirmed that the Scorpio Lifestyler will use a 2.2L diesel engine and offer both 2WD and 4WD configurations. However, the company have not announced its power and torque figures or transmission options.
In the Scorpio N, the 2.2L diesel engine is available in 2 states of tune. Lower variants produce 132PS and 300Nm, while the higher-output version produces 175PS. The latter generates 370Nm with the 6-speed manual transmission and 400Nm with the 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The pickup is expected to be offered with multiple drivetrain combinations:
The availability of a 2WD version should help Mahindra achieve the announced sub-Rs. 19.79 lakh price, while the 4WD variants will compete more directly with the Isuzu V-Cross and Toyota Hilux.
The Scorpio Lifestyler will be offered in the following 7 colours:
Mahindra also showcased 3 accessorised versions of the Lifestyler called Reef, Trail and Valley. Each gets a distinct exterior theme and lifestyle-oriented accessories.

The Reef Edition gets an Aquareef exterior finish with colourful beach-inspired graphics, ‘REEF’ lettering and a surfboard mounted on the roof crossbars. Mahindra say this version represents freedom, exploration and outdoor activities.
The Trail Edition is finished in Sahara Beige and features desert-inspired graphics with ‘TRAIL’ lettering on the cargo bed. The model displayed at the event also featured roof-mounted recovery boards and individual hoop-style side steps.
The Valley Edition is intended to combine work-focused practicality with everyday comfort. It is finished in Artemis Grey and features topographic-map graphics across the doors and cargo bed. The version showcased by Mahindra also gets a roof-mounted cargo box and full-length side steps.
Mahindra have not confirmed whether Reef, Trail and Valley will be sold as separate special editions or whether their accessories will be available as optional packages.

The Scorpio Lifestyler will be Mahindra’s entry into the lifestyle pickup segment, combining the architecture and mechanicals of the Scorpio N with a dedicated cargo bed. Mahindra have announced a starting price of Rs. 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 2027 Scorpio Lifestyler. The exact price and complete variant lineup will be announced closer to launch by April 2027.
The 2026 Isuzu V-Cross currently starts at Rs. 25.50 lakh, while the 2026 Toyota Hilux starts at Rs. 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Therefore, the announced Lifestyler starting price will be more than Rs. 5.71 lakh lower than the V-Cross and over Rs. 12.20 lakh lower than the Hilux.
However, these are entry-price comparisons rather than like-for-like variant comparisons. The base V-Cross is a 4WD manual, while the entry-level Hilux is a 4x2 automatic. Mahindra have not yet revealed the drivetrain, transmission or features offered with the Rs. 19.79 lakh Lifestyler.
Outside India, the pickup will be called the Mahindra Lifestyler. Mahindra are targeting Australia and New Zealand, South Africa and other African markets, the Middle East and Latin America.
