Mahindra Scorpio N Automatic, 4WD And 4WD Automatic Expected Prices | V3Cars

Mahindra and Mahidnra launched the Scorpio N on June 27 and in typical fashion, only revealed the prices of select variants. In the Scorpio N’s case, Mahindra only revealed the prices of the manal variants and shared a date for the price reveal of automatic and 4WD variants of the Scorpio N. Mahindra will reveal the prices of the Scorpio automatic and 4WD variants on July 21. Here’s what we expect the Scorpio automatic and 4WD will cost when launched.

The Mahindra Scorpio N petrol will come with both manual and automatic transmission options. Save for the base-spec Z2 variant, all other variants of the Scorpio N petrol will come with the option of an automatic transmission. We expect Mahindra to charge a premium of Rs. 1.65 lakh for the automatic over corresponding manual variants. Additionally, we expect Mahindra to charge Rs. 10,000 more for the 6-seater variants over the corresponding 7-seater variants.

Mahindra will offer the Scorpio N diesel automatic in all variants except for the base-spec Z2 variant. Like in the case of the Scorpio N petrol, we expect Mahindra to charge a premium of Rs. 1.65 lakh for the diesel automatic over the corresponding diesel manual variants.

It is worth noting that the Scorpio N Z4 uses the less powerful 132PS diesel engine whereas the automatic and 4WD variants use the more powerfuel 175PS diesel engine. As a result, the price gap between the manual and automatic is bigger than in other variants. In addition to that, we expect Mahindra to charge a premium of Rs. 1.40 lakh for the 4WD over the corresponding 2WD variants. The four-wheel-drive variants of the Scorpio N also feature a locking differential, a low range gearbox and terrain response modes.
