Mahindra To Roll Out Apple CarPlay For XUV700 On September 5 | V3Cars

After a long wait, Mahindra are set to roll out Apple CarPlay for the XUV700 from September 5 onwards. Mahindra are likely to call existing XUV700 customers for the infotainment system update. Along with all the basic features, the XUV700 will also offer a couple of industry-first features with Apple CarPlay.

Since the launch of the XUV700, owners of Mahindra’s flagship SUV were only able to use Android Auto while Apple CarPlay was still under development. According to a new report, Mahindra are finally ready to roll out Apple CarPlay for the XUV700 from September 5 onwards. After the update, the XUV700 will offer wireless Apple CarPlay.

In addition to that, Mahindra claim that the XUV700 will offer industry-first features like navigation rendering on the instrument cluster and enhanced Siri voice commands with Apple CarPlay. Mahindra are likely to make full use of their connected infotainment system and instrument cluster.

The Mahindra XUV700 comes packed with other interesting features like advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, 360-degree parking camera, power-adjustable driver seat with memory, 18-inch machined alloy wheels and connected car tech.

The Mahindra XUV700 currently commands a really long waiting period. In fact, some variants of the XUV700 command a waiting period of over 24 months. To address this issue, Mahindra are set to increase production at their plant for models including the Thar, Scorpio N and the XUV700.
