In this March 2023 Nissan car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Nissan for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Nissan cars’ sales improved and which ones declined. Lastly, the table with monthly sales for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend of all Nissan cars.
March 2023 - Nissan Car Sales Figures - YoY Change
- Nissan failed to sell even a single unit of the Kicks in the last three months and has consequently discontinued the car now.
- The Nissan Kicks was a C-segment SUV. It saw a significant rise in sales during the festive season in late October of 2022. But post-Diwali, the Kicks lost the temporary momentum it had gained.
- The Nissan Magnite remains the only car in the market from the carmaker. It witnessed a growth (of ~11%) in our March YoY comparison.
- Although the Kicks is still listed on Nissan's official website, it is expected to be removed soon owing to its discontinuation and the current RDE norms, which took effect on April 1, 2023. This puts Nissan in a tough spot, as it would only be left with Magnite as its sole offering in India

March 2023 - Nissan Car Sales Figures - MoM Change
- In terms of MoM changes, the Magnite witnessed a sales very healthy growth of over 49%
- The 12-month average sales of the Magnite is 2,730 and 3,260 units of the Magnite were sold in the March of 2023, which is higher than the average sales of the car.
