MG Gloster No Longer Available In Base Super Variant | V3Cars

MG Motor India have discontinued the base Super variant of the Gloster SUV. The Gloster is now available in Sharp and Savvy variants with 2 powertrain options and 2 seating configurations. Read on to know more details about the updated MG Gloster SUV.

MG Gloster Super Variant Discontinued

The base Super variant of the Gloster was earlier available with the 2.0L turbo diesel engine at Rs. 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Since the variant is no longer available, the starting price of the Gloster has gone up to Rs. 38.07 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Sharp variant.

As you can see in the table above, the prices of the Gloster remain the same as before except for the Sharp variant, which now costs Rs. 60,000 more. The Gloster prices now start from Rs. 38.08 lakh and go up to Rs. 42.38 lakh (ex-showroom).

Updated MG Gloster Powertrain Details

MG Motor India continue to offer the Gloster with 2 engine options — 2.0L turbo diesel and 2.0L twin-turbo diesel. The 2.0L turbo diesel engine produces 161PS of power at 4000rpm and 373Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2400rpm. The 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine, on the other hand, produces 215PS of power at 4000rpm and 478Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2400rpm. Both engines come mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and the twin-turbo diesel engine also offers 4-wheel-drive.
