MG recently launched the 2022 Gloster with new features and minor design changes. The Gloster rivals other D2-segment 3-row family SUVs like the crowd-favourite Toyota Fortuner, the Mahindra Alturas G4, Jeep Meridian and the Skoda Kodiaq. In this article, we compare the dimensions and specifications of the MG Gloster with its segment rivals.

The Gloster undeniably the largest SUV among the 5 SUVs here. It is the longest and the tallest SUV in the segment. It boasts a length of 4985mm and a height of 1867mm. It even boasts the longest wheelbase in the segment of 2950mm. However, it’s the Alturas G4 that is the widest at 1960mm. The Gloster also gets the largest allow wheels in the segment at 19-inches.

The 2022 MG Gloster is the only SUV in its segment to come with a choice of 2 diesel engines — single turbo and twin-turbo. The twin-turbo engine puts out 216PS of power at 4000rpm and 479Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2400rpm. While the MG Gloster offers the most power, the Fortuner is the one with the segment-best torque output of 500Nm.
