MG Motor India launched the Hector and Hector Plus at the 2023 Auto Expo. While MG revealed prices of standard variants of both SUVs at the expo, they are yet to list the prices of the EX variants of the Hector and Hector Plus on their website. In this article, we share the prices of the EX variants of both the Hector and Hector Plus SUVs. The EX variants of the Hector and Hector Plus sit below the corresponding versions of the standard Smart, Smart Pro, Sharp and Sharp Pro variants. The EX variants offer fewer safety features over the standard variants and cost less to buy.

The EX variants of the Hector and Hector Plus SUVs come with fewer safety features over the standard variants. Features missing on the Hector and Hector Plus EX variants include electronic stability program (ESP), traction control system (TCS), hill hold control and brake assist. The EX variants of the Hector and Hector Plus are priced Rs. 10,000 lower than the corresponding standard variants. The EX variants of both SUVs are only available with the petrol manual and petrol automatic powertrain.

2023 MG Hector And Hector Plus Powertrain Details

The new Hector and Hector Plus comes with 2 engine options – a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 2.0L turbo diesel. The 1.5L turbo petrol hybrid that was offered in the pre-facelift Hector and Hector Plus is no longer on sale. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine produces 143PS of power at 5000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 3600rpm. This engine comes with a choice of 6-speed manual or a CVT. The 2.0L turbo diesel engine produces 170PS of power at 3750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 2550rpm. The diesel engine continues to come with a sole 6-speed manual transmission only.
