In terms of features, we don’t have much information from the manufacturer as the brochure doesn’t contain any features-related details about the Commute. So, we don’t know for sure what features are missing in the MG Commute, which are available in the Windsor Excite base variant.

However, we have some exclusive information on the feature front about the Commute variant. You can read more about the MG Commute vs MG Windsor Excite feature comparison at the following link:

MG Commute Taxi Features — What’s Missing Compared To Windsor Excite Base Model?

The most notable rear seat- and cab-focused features of the MG Commute are:

  • Split-folding rear seats
  • 2x adjustable rear headrests
  • Large, 604-litre boot space
  • Boot lamp
  • Rear AC vents

The specs remain identical to the Windsor base variant. It gets the same 37.9kWh battery pack with 136PS of power and 200Nm of torque. Essentially, the range also, should remain the same as the Excite base trim. The ARAI range on MIDC 1+2 is 332km. In the real world, with rear seat occupants, AC/heating and a little lower tyre pressures for better comfort, you can easily expect 200-250km on a single charge.

The Windsor Excite only gets white exterior colour option while the Commute will get black, possibly for the Uber Black fleet. We also expect white colour to remain as an option.

On the visual front, the Commute’s silver steel wheels without covers will help it distinguish itself from the Windsor Excite, which is available for personal use. The Excite variant gets black steel wheels with wheel covers.
