Japanese auto major Honda is preparing for the big Indian festive season this year just like all other car majors operating in this country. Preparing for the festive season in India every year means bringing in new and special car models. Honda Cars India has thus launched the special edition model of its Jazz premium hatchback right ahead of the Indian festive season this year. Named as the Honda Jazz Privilege Edition, the special edition model has launched in the car market of India starting at Rs. 7.36 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The special edition Jazz is offered only on the V trim model and comes with a host of upgrades in terms of features and safety equipments. The Honda Jazz Privilege Edition is the second Privilege model in India, as Honda launched the Amaze Privilege Edition last month.
The primary highlight of new Honda Jazz Privilege Edition model is the new DIGIPAD infotainment system, which features a large 17.7 cm (7 inch) display with audio, video and navigation. The DIGIPAD infotainment system features an in-built satellite-linked navigation system, while there’s also internal media memory of 1.5 GB. It comes with a host of smartphone connectivity including Mirror Link support, voice commands ability for media, navigation as well as calling along with voice assistance activation. It also comes braced with internet access, Bluetooth connectivity, two MicroSD slots, an HDMI-IN port and two USB slots. The Privilege Edition model also gets the Honda Connect connectivity features.
The new special edition Jazz premium hatchback also gets new beige seat upholstery and new premium floor mats that flaunt the exclusive ‘Privilege Edition’ insignia embossed on them. The other important feature addition on the special edition Jazz is the rear parking sensors. When exterior changes are concerned, there’s actually none excepting the ‘Privilege Edition’ logo on the car’s tailgate.
On the safety front, the new Honda Jazz Privilege Edition comes with added safety and security functions, which includes an Impact Alert which activates before a strong jerk or a collision. The car also comes with Honda’s assistance features through the company’s 24X7 call centre, and includes the locate My Car, My Car’s Health and Trip analysis services.
The Honda Jazz V model trim already comes braced with many good features such as dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System, rear camera, Touch Panel for automatic AC, alloy wheels, multi-information meter, power adjustable wing mirrors with turn blinkers and paddle shift for the CVT model.
Honda Cars India is offering the new Jazz Privilege Edition in both two petrol and one diesel versions. With all the feature enhancements, the new Jazz Privilege Edition costs just Rs. 5,000 dearer than the standard V variant of the car.
