After recently launching the new Compass Black Pack Edition special edition model in the domestic car market, Jeep India has now introduced the new top of the range Limited Plus variant of its popular Compass compact SUV. It has been earlier reported that Fiat India wants to reap the full benefits of the huge popularity that the Jeep Compass has received in India, before launching any new products from the Jeep brand in the country. Fiat wants to focus on the Jeep brand in India and for the time being is simply concentrating on keeping the customer interest in the Compass fresh, especial at the onslaught of this year’s festive season. The new top of the range Jeep Compass Limited Plus variant has been launched in the car market of India in both petrol and diesel variants - a petrol two wheel drive automatic, a diesel two wheel drive manual and a diesel four wheel drive manual variant. The new Jeep Compass Limited Plus has been launched at a starting price range of Rs. 21.07 lakhs for the diesel 4x2 manual variant, the Limited Plus 4x2 Petrol Automatic variant is tagged at Rs. 21.41 lakhs, while the Limited Plus 4x4 Diesel Manual model has been priced at Rs. 22.85 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
As the name suggests the new Jeep Compass Limited Plus variant is based on the Limited (O) variant and comes with an array of added features to make things more enticing. Jeep India has now officially opened bookings for the Compass Limited Plus variant for an advance token amount of Rs. 50,000. The deliveries of the new top-end Compass model will commence in India in early October, 2018.
The most noteworthy added features of the new Jeep Compass Limited Plus variant include a large panoramic sunroof. The Compass so far didn’t offer a sunroof and Jeep India has been receiving customer requests for the same, and thus, the company has introduced the sunroof on the Compass on its fully loaded variants, keeping its customer requests. The new top-end model also boasts of new sporty 18 inch wheels finished black and polished aluminium. On the inside, the new Compass Limited Plus variant also gets endowed with a new UConnect infotainment system that comes integrated with a new 8.4 inch touchscreen display.
Jeep Compass Limited Plus variant also comes with a host of other premium features such as automatic rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights and automatic dimming rear view mirror among many others. In terms of safety equipments, the new Compass Limited Plus model comes braced with 6 airbags as standard among other safety features, which the Compass is already known for.
Jeep India has already sold over 26,000 units of the Jeep Compass compact SUV in the Indian car market and the launch of its new variants are aimed at boosting its sales even further. Although the Jeep Compass Limited Plus variant has become of the new top of the range model for now, Jeep will also be launching the fully off-road ready Trailhawk variant, which will sit at the top of the Compass lineup.
The highly awaited Jeep Compass Trailhawk variant’s launch in India has been delayed a bit, and it will launch in early 2019.
