What Are The Engine Specs of Honda City 2020?
The 2020 Honda City will come with 1.5-litre normal petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. The petrol engine will get a 6-speed manual and a CVT-type automatic transmission with 7 virtual shift points. The current City has a 5-speed manual transmission with the petrol engine. The diesel engine will only get a 6-speed manual transmission.
The petrol engine of the new City will make 121PS of power - 2PS more than before. The torque output is the same at 145Nm but it’s now available 300rpm lower in the rev range. This should help improve the drivability. The petrol engine retains its high-revving nature as it still makes its peak power at a very high 6600rpm.
The diesel engine was rumoured to get the CVT automatic transmission, which is available in the Amaze. However, it’s not available in next-gen City. The diesel engine of the City will make the same 100PS of power and 200Nm of torque at the same RPMs.
