Nissan unveiled the Magnite SUV on 21 October 2020. While the carmaker revealed the engine and some features of the SUV, Nissan has now confirmed the exterior colour options that will be on offer on the Magnite.
The Magnite will be available in 8 colour options -- 5 monotone and 3 dual-tone. The 5 monotone colours are black, brown, red, silver and white. The 3 dual-tone options include blue with white roof, red with black roof and white with black roof.
The Magnite will be offered with a petrol engine only. It will get a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine mated to a CVT and a 5-speed manual transmission. Nissan is yet to confirm the performance figures of the engine but it is expected to produce around 100PS of power. Nissan might also offer a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre petrol engine on the Magnite mated to a 5-speed manual transmission in the lower variants.
On the features front, the Magnite will get various segment-first features like a 360-degree parking camera, 7-inch driver’s display and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support for the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other features that will make way to the Magnite include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability program, traction control, hill launch assist, LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, LED DRLs, manual day/night IRVM, alloy wheels and auto AC with rear AC vents.
Nissan is expected to launch the Magnite in January 2021. Prices are expected to range from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. It will take on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Toyota Urban Cruiser and the Maruti Vitara Brezza.
