In this November 2022 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all B2-segment SUVs in India. We’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales, where applicable. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all B2-segment SUVs for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.
B2-Segment SUV November 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change
- Among B2-segment SUVs, the Nexon took its lead back from the Brezza to take the top spot in the segment in terms of sales in October 2022 and formed a considerable lead of over 4,000 units in November
- Honda WR-V saw a YoY growth of almost 260% and was the top gainer in the segment, although it still remains the least selling car in the B2-segment SUV category
- Kia Sonet was the second biggest gainer in November 2022 YoY comparison, with a growth of 66% compared to November 2021
- There were no YoY losers in the month of November as all the cars in the B2-segment SUV category saw YoY growth ranging from around 5% to as much as 260%
- Citroen C3 was not on sale last year in India and hence its YoY analysis is not possible

B2-Segment SUV November 2022 Car Sales - MoM Change
- The Nexon was the only B2-segment SUV with 5-figure monthly sales in the month of October. Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Hyundai Venue rejoined the club in November, registering a growth of 14% and 12% respectively.
- Tata Nexon was the top-selling and top-gaining car with 15.28% MoM growth in November, registering over 15,000 dispatches.
- Most other cars in the category saw a decline in dispatches, with WR-V topping the losers chart with over 34% decline over the month of October.
- Honda WR-V was followed by Citroen C3, with 32% decline in dispatches and Renault Kiger with 15% decline in dispatches in the month of November.
- The Urban Cruiser registered zero dispatches consecutively for two months, hinting at a possible discontinuation of the SUV by Toyota.
