September 2022 - Maruti Suzuki Car Sales Figures - YoY Change
- In terms of YoY change, most Maruti cars performed well in the month of September 2022 compared to the same month last year
- The Alto brand outsold the WagonR and became the second car after the Baleno to do so, with a huge margin of over 4,000 units
- Just going by sheer numbers for our YoY comparison for the month of September, Ignis hatchback was the clear winner with over a 1000% growth in the past 12 months
- The Brezza followed the Ignis with 724% growth in the past year, followed by the Swift hatchback with 375% gains and Dzire sedan with almost 350% gains over the year
- Alto, Baleno and WagonR more than doubled their dispatches in the past year starting September. The Eeco and Ciaz sales also grew by 60-70%
- The Ertiga/XL6 MPV twins were the only losers in Maruti’s portfolio, with a decline of around 18% for each in September YoY comparison analysis
- Maruti recently delisted the S-Cross from its official website. Zero dispatches were reported for the S-Cross SUV for the past few months and it has now officially been discontinued.

September 2022 - Maruti Suzuki Car Sales Figures - MoM Change
- Among the top gainers in MoM sales comparison were the Alto and Alto K10 pair and XL6, with 73% and 26% MoM improvement
- Almost all other cars saw some growth in numbers ranging from 0.07% for the Ignis hatchback to 9.13% for the WagonR
- Among the top MoM losers were the S-Presso with a 39.16% decline, Dzire with 19.10% decline, Ciaz with 10.36% drop and Celeio with 8% drop in September MoM comparison analysis.
