  • The top-spec Kuhsaq comes loaded with features but the automatic variants miss out on safety features like side and curtain airbags and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Here are some features we wished Skoda had offered at least on the top-spec Kushaq.

  • Front parking sensors
  • A 360-degree camera
  • Blindspot monitor
  • Air purifier
  • Voice controls

The Kushaq is offered with two TSI petrol engines only. It gets a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 115PS and 178Nm while the 1.5-litre engine making 150PS and 250Nm. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed MT as standard with an option of 6-speed AT and 7-speed DSG with the 1.0L and 1.5L engines, respectively.

Skoda has started bookings for the Kushaq for a token amount of Rs 35,000. While deliveries of the 1.0L Kushaq will begin from 12 July, people who have booked the 1.5L Kushaq will have to wait till the first week of August to get their hands on the Kushaq. The Kushaq takes on the likes of the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks, Maruti S-Cross and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun.
