After the launch of the Kushaq Monte Karlo, Skoda India are likely to launch the Kushaq Xpedition Edition soon. The model was spied recently at what seems like a display event for Skoda dealers. The Xpedition Edition gets several off-road bits all around to make it stand out over the regular Kushaq.

The Kushaq Xpedition Edition gets multiple blacked out bits on the exterior along with a couple of rugged accessories. Starting with the cosmetic bits, it gets an all-black, Skoda signature grille up front along with blacked out bumper inserts. The skid plate continues to get 3-slot design and the Xpedition Edition further adds orange inserts. Around the side, the Kushaq Xpedition Edition gets all black alloy wheels with orange inserts and mountain decals on the doors.

The Kushaq Xpedition Edition also gets a luggage rack on the roof. It also seems to have LED round lights placed on the roof rack that should aid visibility. The image doesn’t offer a glimpse of the inside of the Kushaq Xpedition Edition. However, it could offer new inserts on the dashboard and centre console. We do not expect Skoda to offer any mechanical changes to the Kushaq Xpedition Edition over the regular model.
In terms of powertrains, the Kushaq comes with 2 engine options — 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo petrol. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine produces 115PS of power and 175Nm of torque. It is offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 1.5L turbo petrol produces 150PS of power and 250Nm of torque. It gets the choice of a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Skoda are yet to reveal their plans to launch the Xpedition Edition of the Kushaq in the Indian market. However, we think Skoda will launch the Kushaq Xpedition Edition in India and slot it against the Kia Seltos X Line. Currently, the Kushaq prices start from Rs. 11.59 lakh and goes to Rs. 19.69 lakh ex-showroom.
