The image of the next generation Volvo S60 has been doing rounds on the internet for past few days. The sedan has been spied completely undisguised in Sweden recently and looks like following the design path of the elder sibling S90 in a squeezed manner. However, this is not the first time that the upcoming Volvo S60 has been spied. Earlier this week, a camouflaged picture of the next-gen Volvo S60 sedan was posted while testing in Norway.
Talking about the design, the spied upcoming Volvo S60 gets the design elements from its elder sibling S90, however, after looking at it closely it also resembles the new XC20 or XC40 electric vehicle as well while the interiors seems to be inspired from the recently unveiled V60 by the automaker. The sedan will be based on Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). The same platform underpins the 90 series and the 60 series by the Swedish manufacturer. What is visible in terms of features from the spied image is that the next-gen Volvo S60 gets the C-shaped LED taillights, wheel cap gets gloss black color with chrome treatment on the exhaust tip and windows trim. Although, the image doesn’t show the front fascia of the car, the earlier spied camouflaged image did give an idea about what it could be. According to that the front fascia and the Thor's Hammer-styled LED DRLs remains the same as the outgoing model. Inside, it is said to offer new soft touch materials and the typical Volvo touchscreen infotainment system. Other feature details are still under the cover as there is no information or image about the interior of the upcoming sedan.
