Tata Motors have introduced new variants of the Altroz petrol manual, petrol turbo, petrol automatic and diesel powertrains that offer more features than before. While these variants get new features like an air purifier and wireless phone charger, the biggest addition that should get Altroz buyers excited is the inclusion of a sunroof. Read on to know more details about the new Tata Altroz sunroof variants.

Tata Motors recently launched the Altroz CNG with a couple of exclusive features compared to the petrol and diesel variants of the premium hatchback. However, Tata Motors have now introduced the same new features across all the powertrain options of the Altroz by introducing new S variants. The carmaker has introduced XM+S, XZ+S and XZ+ (O) S variants that offer a couple of new features over the variants they are based on.

All 3 variants – XM+S, XZ+S and XZ+ (O) S – now offer a voice-controlled electric sunroof along with other new features. The top-spec XZ+ O (S) variant offers new features like an air purifier, a wireless phone charger, enhanced voice commands and a shark fin antenna.

With a starting price of Rs. 7.90 lakh for the normal petrol manual XM+ S variant, the Tata Altroz becomes the most-affordable vehicle in the country to offer a sunroof. The most expensive sunroof variant of the Altroz is the turbo diesel manual XZ+ S Dark, which is priced at Rs. 10.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

Apart from the new variant additions, the Altroz doesn’t offer any other changes. It continues to offer 4 powertrain options — 1.2L normal petrol, 1.2L turbo petrol, 1.2L normal petrol-CNG and 1.5L turbo diesel. It is worth noting that only the 1.2L normal petrol engine is available with an automatic transmission option whereas the other engines are only avialable with a 5-speed manual transmission.
