1. New Orange Paint Job

The Altroz Racer concept at the Auto Expo featured a red paint finish with a black bonnet, roof, spoiler and tailgate. On the other hand, the one showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show was finished in orange. The striped decals and black painted surfaces remain identical between both versions.

2. New Grille Design

The other noticeable change is the new grille design. While the general outline and mesh finish of the grille remains unchanged, the Altroz Racer at Bharat Mobility Expo features a smaller Tata logo and a front camera mounted just underneath it. Additionally, the new Altroz Racer also features slim, black painted covers on the top portion of the headlamps, making them look sleeker and lending the front end an aggressive design.

3. New Alloy Wheel Design

For the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, Tata Motors replaced the older 8-spoke alloy wheels for a new set of 10-spoke, 16-inch alloy wheels. Both versions of the Altroz Racer feature alloy wheels with a black finish.

4. New 360-Degree Camera

Another major addition on the 2024 Tata Altroz Racer is the addition of a 360-degree surround view system with cameras mounted on the outward edges of the ORVMs, the front grille and the tailgate. We could expect this feature to trickle down to the top variant of the standard Altroz hatchback soon.

5. Head-Up Display (HUD)

The latest version of the Tata Altroz Racer features a head-up display for the driver. Currently, the Maruti Nexa Baleno and its Toyota cousin, the Glanza, are the only hatchbacks in the B2-segment that offer this feature. Hence, we could expect Tata to add the Altroz Racer’s HUD to the top variant of the standard Altroz when its due for an update.

6. Orange Ambient Light

While the Tata Altroz Racer at the Auto Expo featured red ambient lights to match its exterior paint, the updated Altroz Racer features orange ambient lights to match its orange exterior paint.

The Altroz Racer is Tata’s take on a race car-inspired performance hatchback. While the standard Altroz turbo petrol produces 110PS of power and 140Nm of torque, the Altroz Racer puts out 120PS and 170Nm. The power figure of the Altroz Racer matches that of the i20 N Line while the torque is 2Nm down on the Hyundai hatchback.
