Tata Motors To Launch 7 New Nameplates By 2030, Including Sierra | V3Cars
Hot on the heels of launching the 2025 Harrier EV, Tata Motors have announced their product roadmap until the year 2030. At the recently held Investor Day Meet, Tata Motors announced they will launch 30 new models by 2030. These include 7 new nameplates as well as lifecycle updates to existing models. The upcoming models include a mixture of electric vehicles (EVs) and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. Take a look at the new Tata cars and SUVs that are set to launch in the next 5 years.

What’s In The Pipeline? Updates And Brand New Cars
Out of these 30 planned models, 23 of them will be updates or refreshes to existing models. This means cars you already know will get new versions with updated looks, features, and technology. For example, we can expect:
- Facelifts for the Tiago and Tiago EV by Q4 2025.
- Mid-life update for the Punch ICE and EV in 2026.
- A new petrol engine option for the Harrier and Safari SUVs in 2026.
- Mid-cycle update for the Curvv and Curvv EV by 2027-28.
But what’s truly exciting for fans and customers of the brand are the 7 completely new nameplates, or vehicle names, that Tata Motors plan to introduce by 2030. These will be brand new models that we haven’t seen before.
Confirmed New Models: Sierra and Avinya
We already have some details about a couple of these brand-new offerings:
- All-New Sierra: This iconic nameplate is set to return. The new Sierra will launch later this year and will be available in both electric (EV) and traditional engine (ICE) versions, catering to different buyer preferences.
- Avinya Range of EVs: Following the Sierra, Tata will introduce a series of electric vehicles under the “Avinya” name. These cars were first shown as the Avinya and Avinya X concept vehicles and are expected to start hitting the market from 2027 onwards. One of them is expected to be a boxy electric SUV while the other could be an electric MPV. Unlike Tata’s current EVs, the Avinya range of EVs will be built on a dedicated electric platform, promising advanced technology and a spacious cabin.

Mystery New Models: Filling the Gaps?
While the Sierra and Avinya range are confirmed, there are still 4 more brand-new models (2 electric and 2 ICE) that Tata Motors haven’t revealed much about. However, we expect these cars might fill some specific spots in the market:
- 2 ICE Models: We expect these new models to slot in the entry-level A & B segments. One of them could be a new SUV positioned below the Nexon and alongside the Punch, targeting the entry-level B1-SUV segment.
- 2 EV Models: Tata Motors are yet to reveal any details regarding these models, but we expect it to be part of the Avinya range of EVs built on Tata’s upcoming skateboard electric platform.
One thing is for sure: the 7 new nameplates from Tata Motors will be SUVs or SUV-like vehicles in some form or shape. This shows a clear focus on the growing demand for SUVs in India.
Recently, Hyundai too announced their product roadmap until the year 2030, which includes 26 new models. Take a look at what they could be by clicking the link below:
