There are several possibilities as to what it could be. Let us have a look at them one by one.

  1. New Tata EV Concept

Tata Motors announced that they will launch 10 new EVs by 2025. The teased EV could be the concept version of one of them. The Punch EV is likely one of the upcoming EVs from Tata Motors, and hence, this could be the Punch EV concept, which will go on sale later.

  1. Tata Tigor/Nexon EV Long-Range

While both of the Tigor and Nexon EVs are on sale and doing good numbers for the brand, Tata Motors are still testing them under wraps on our roads. The teased EV could be the long-range version of either of them.

The long-range Nexon EV is expected to boast a range of around 400km with a new 40kWh battery. It will also get rear disc brakes. As the teaser shows, it could also get new body panels and a completely closed front to differentiate it from the ICE-powered and standard Nexon EV. There are no estimated figures for the long-range Tigor EV as of now.

  1. Altroz EV

Tata Motors showcased the Altroz EV at Auto Expo 2020. However, it is yet to see the light of day. Tata Motors might finally launch the Altroz EV on April 6. It is likely to get the same battery pack as the Tigor EV.
