Tata Tiago Crosses 4,00,000 Unit Production Milestone | V3Cars

Tata Motors have rolled out the 4,00,000th Tiago from their manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. Tata Motors also announced a new campaign to celebrate the Tiago’s new production milestone.

The Tata Tiago was launched back in 2016 and received a design overhaul with BS6-compliant engines in 2020. Today, Tata offer the Tiago in two iterations – the standard Tiago and the Tiago NRG – and 14 variants. Tata Motors also revealed that the Tiago boasts a 19% market share in its segment. The recently launched Tiago CNG has also received garnered a positive response from car buyers.

Tata offer the Tiago with a 1.2L normal petrol engine which can be had with a CNG option as well. The petrol engine dishes out 86PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 3300rpm. The CNG version of the Tiago produces 73PS of power at 6000 rpm and 95Nm of torque at 3500rpm. The petrol engine is offered with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT transmission options whereas the CNG version is only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. However, we expect Tata Motors to launch the CNG AMT option in the near future.
