Tata Motors recently launched the Tiago EV and it is now the most-affordable electric car in the market. Tata Motors expect the Tiago EV to further boost the brand’s lead in the passenger EV segment.

At the launch of the Tiago EV, Tata Motors revealed that both the Tigor EV and Nexon EV account for 25% of the sub-compact sedan and SUV’s monthly sales. Tata Motors also shared that they expect the Tiago EV to account for 30% of all Tiago sales.

Take a look at the average monthly sales of the Nexon, Tigor and Tiago:
The average 6 month production of the Nexon, Tiago and Tigor stand at 14,332, 5,383 and 4,272 units, respectively. Based on these figures, we expect Tata Motors to produce 1,615 units of the Tiago EV each month. Hence, the total production of the Tiago range, which includes petrol, CNG and EV variants, could be close to 7,000 units each month.

The introductory prices are valid for the first 10,000 Tiago EV buyers. Of these, Tata Motors say 2,000 units will be reserved for Nexon EV customers who wish to add another electric car to their garage.
