Tata Tigor Buzz has been creating a buzz in the market for last few days. The car got leaked online ahead of its launch recently and now finally, the automaker has launched the Tigor Buzz edition in the Indian market priced at Rs 5.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the petrol version. The Tigor Buzz is based on the XT trim and will be available in both the petrol and diesel engines but with manual transmission only. Available across all dealerships in India from now, the diesel variant of the Tigor Buzz will cost Rs 6.57 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The special edition has been launched to mark the model's first anniversary.
Speaking at the launch, S. N. Under the hood, the newly launched Tata Tigor Buzz comes powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol with 83.8 BHP of maximum power and 114 Nm of peak torque as well as the 1.05-litre turbocharged diesel with 69 BHP and 140 Nm. The transmission duties will be performed only by a five speed manual gearbox. The AMT version is not available on the Buzz edition as the technology has been offered with the higher trims of the standard Tigor only.
Talking about the changes, the Tigor Buzz edition is based on the XT trim of the standard Tigor and features a Glossy Black roof with matching black outside rear-view mirrors along with sporty-looking wheel cover with red accents and a black mesh grille with Berry Red grille highlights as well as 'Buzz' badging on the boot-lid. The body coloured door handles, body colour ORVMs with integrated LED turn lights and black finish on B-pillar seen on the standard Tigor XT can also be found in the Buzz edition.
The interior of the Tata Tigor Buzz also receives updates in the form of full fabric seat upholstery a power output at the rear, interior lamps with theatre dimming, and coat hook on rear right side grab handle as well as Tata's ConnectNext Infotainment system from Harman with 4 speakers. Apart from these, the infotainment system also features AM/FM, USB, AUX-IN, iPod & Bluetooth connectivity with steering mounted audio & phone controls along with Tata Juke-Car app and turn-by-turn navigation. The Buzz edition also gets updated instrument cluster capable of providing some addition information like Driver seatbelt reminder, LED fuel gauge, LED temperature gauge.
The newly launched Tigor Buzz also gets a number of important and advanced safety features such as speed sensing auto door locks, follow me headlamps, park assist with sensors, ABS with EBD & corner stability control and front fog lamps. Other features include central locking with flip key remote, all 4 power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, foldable armrest for the rear seat with cup holders, one touchdown driver side window, cooled glove box and boot lamp.
The Tata Tigor Buzz is a limited edition car launched by the automaker to appeal to customers prioritizing design while buying a car and should add some numbers to the overall sales. Tigor is currently the third highest selling compact sedan in the Indian market today hence the introduction of the new edition seems quite promising in order to lure the customers in more numbers. The Tata Tigor competes with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire, Honda Amaze and the Volkswagen Ameo in the segment.
