Tata Tigor Mileage Changes After BS6 Phase II Upgrade | V3Cars

Tata Tigor witnessed a change in mileage figures after the BS6 phase-2 upgrade. In this article, we’ll give you the details of the changes applicable for the Tigor petrol-manual, Tigor petrol-automatic and Tigor CNG-manual powertrains.

Tata Motors recently updated their cars with BS6 Phase - 2 compliance. The changes required to make the engines comply with the newer emission standards also helped Tata improve their fuel efficiency. The Nexon saw an improvement of up to 2.0kmpl while the mileage of the Altroz went up by up to 0.8kmpl. You can read about these updates at the following links:

In the case of the Tigor petrol-manual, the mileage suffered a nominal drop. However, with the automatic transmission, the mileage figure slightly improved after the Phase-2 update. Meanwhile, the CNG powertrain didn’t see any change in the mileage figure. Here are the old and new fuel efficiency figures of the Tigor petrol:

The Tigor petrol-manual earlier had a 19.93kmpl fuel efficiency and it now claims to deliver 19.28kmpl, which is 0.65kmpl lower than the older BS6 Tigor. With the automatic transmission, the mileage figure jumped by 0.32kmpl and now stands at 19.60kmpl.

Surprisingly, there’s no change in mileage for the Tigor CNG’s mileage figures. This is, of course, dependent on the assumption that Tata’s official website has the latest updated specs of their cars.
