This week, Toyota launched a limited edition of its popular MPV, the Innova Hycross, without much fanfare. Called the Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition, the latest addition to the Innova lineup is based on the best-selling GX variant of the MPV and as the name suggests, it will be sold for a limited period only. Toyota Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition Exterior Updates

On the outside, the Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition gets subtle changes over the standard GX variants. While there are no limited edition badges to signify its exclusivity, Toyota have given the Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition a brushed chrome jewel finish on the front grille. Since the Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition is based on the standard GX variant, it misses out the LED DRLs and the additional chrome elements and bumper garnishes that are available in the VX top variant of the Innova. However, Toyota have added a faux silver skid plate to the front and rear bumpers, which help improve its road presence.

Toyota Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition Interior – What’s New?

Unlike the exterior, the cabin of the new Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition gets substantial changes over the variant it is based on. For starters, the limited edition Innova now gets soft-touch dashboard and door trim finished in chestnut brown, which was earlier limited to the top-spec VX variant. The seats get a dual-tone black and brown colour scheme while the window controls get a faux wood trim to uplift the luxury quotient.

Apart from these subtle changes, the Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition feels similar to the standard GX variant of the MPV. Hence, the limited edition Innova Hycross can be had with either 7-seat or 8-seat layout. It continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre normal petrol engine mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. The engine produces 174PS of power at 6600rpm and 204Nm of torque between 4500 - 4900rpm.

Priced at Rs. 20.07 lakh, the Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition is Rs. 40,000 more expensive than the standard VX variant.
