Toyota To Launch Urban Cruiser Hyryder On August 16 | V3Cars

Toyota India are all set to launch the Urban Cruiser on August 16. The Japanese carmaker opened bookings for the hybrid SUV on July 1 for a token amount of Rs. 25,000. Toyota will offer the Urban Cruiser Hyryder in 4 variants — E, S, G and V.

After years of wait, Toyota are all-set to launch a new offering that is tailor-made for India. Toyota have worked with Maruti Suzuki to develop the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and its sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will go on sale later this year. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder gets 2 engine options – a 1.5L mild hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5L hybrid petrol engine. The mild hybrid engine produces 102PS of power at 6000rpm and 135Nm of torque at 4400rpm. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed TC automatic transmission. The normal petrol engine is also available with 4-wheel drivetrain with the manual transmission. The hybrid engine, on the other hand, produces 116PS of power and 141Nm of torque between 3800rpm and 4800rpm.
