Upcoming 7 Seater Cars In 2024

1. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift

Alcazar Facelift

After introducing the Creta facelift in India in January 2024, Hyundai are likely to launch its 7-seater sibling, the Alcazar facelift, next. Hyundai officials told V3Cars the Alcazar facelift will have a different design to the Creta 2024.

The Alcazar that is currently on sale features the same front end as the pre-facelift Creta save for minor changes like a chrome studded grille. The side profile of both SUVs are largely the same up to the B-pillar. The real difference between the 2 SUVs are in their wheelbase and rear design. The Alcazar gets a wheelbase of 2760mm over the Creta’s 2610mm to accommodate the 3rd-row seats. It also features a unique rear end with an upright tailgate and larger tail lamps than the Creta. While the design of the Alcazar is set for a major overhaul, the dimensions could remain in the same ballpark with a length of 4500mm, width of 1790mm, and a height of 1675mm.

We expect the Alcazar facelift to retain its current set of engine and transmission options. The Alcazar is currently offered with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine options.

Various spy shots of the XUV e8 over the past year have revealed its design details such as the full-width LED DRL with horizontal elements at the corners of the front bumper, vertically stacked LED projector headlamps with ice cube shaped LED fog lamps, and an enclosed front grille. The side profile and the rear are likely to be similar to the XUV700 as the test mule features the same silhouette and LED tail lamps as the ICE-powered SUV. The production-spec XUV.e8 is expected to offer aero wheels and bronze accents all around.

The XUV.e8 or XUV700 electric is based on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform.
