Here is the list of all upcoming cars which are expected to launch in India soon. All these new upcoming cars are listed with their expected launch date and estimated launch price.

The popular upcoming cars in October include Mahindra Thar, MG Gloster, Hyundai Elite i20 and Audi Q2. Check out the list of cars below to know the expected price, car image, launch date and launch possibility.
Mahindra Thar
The new generation Mahindra Thar is a 4-/6-seater off-road SUV that will get two engine options. First, a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine with a maximum power of 152PS at 5000rpm and a peak torque of 300Nm at 1250-3000rpm. Second, a 2.2 L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine with a maximum power of 132PS at 3750rpm and a peak torque of 300Nm at 1600-2800rpm. Both the engines will be available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter type automatic transmission.
The SUV is slated to go on sale on 2 October. Mahindra will start accepting vehicle's booking on the same day. The Thar will be available in two variants — AX and LX. While the lower-spec AX is designed to cater to the enthusiasts, Mahindra claims that the LX model is designed more for buyers looking for lifestyle purposes.
Mahindra Thar Competitors:
On the basis of price, the Mahindra Thar will rival the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Honda WR-V, the upcoming Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Renault Kiger (HBC) and Nissan Magnite.
Expected Price: Rs. 9.5 - 12.5 lakh
Expected Launch: 2nd October 2020
Launch Possibility: Confirmed
MG Gloster
MG Gloster is a 6-seater D-segment SUV that comes with a single engine option: a 2.0-litre 218PS diesel engine. The Gloster is MG’s fourth model in India after the Hector, Hector Plus and ZS EV. MG has created a webpage for Gloster to register buyer’s interest but bookings are not open yet. Expect a starting price of around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Gloster Competitors:
The MG Gloster will rival the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturas G4 and ISUZU mu-X.
Expected Price: Rs. 30.0 - 40.0 lakh

Hyundai Elite i20 2020
The new generation Hyundai Elite i20 will remain a 5 seater B2-segment hatchback, and it is expected to come with 3 engine options: a 1.5-litre 100PS diesel engine, a 1.0-litre 120PS turbo petrol engine and a 1.2-litre 83PS petrol engine. We expect Hyundai to offer the 1.0L turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT while the diesel engine could be offered with a manual option only. It remains to be seen if Hyundai will offer the iMT (ACMT) on the new i20 or not. The 2020 Hyundai i20 is expected to be priced in the same range as the current model, which starts from Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Elite i20 Competitors:
The Hyundai Elite i20 will rival the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, Toyota Glanza, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Freestyle.
Expected Price: Rs. 6.5 - 9.5 lakh

Volkswagen Passat 2020
Volkswagen Passat is a 5-seater D-segment sedan which will come with a single engine option: a 190PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Volkswagen is in the process of reintroducing its flagship sedan. The facelift version of the car was recently spotted on test in India.
Volkswagen Passat Competitors:
The Volkswagen Passat will rival the Skoda Superb and Toyota Camry.
Expected Price: Rs. 30.0 - 40.0 lakh

Audi Q2
Audi Q2 is a 5-seater SUV which is expected to come with a single engine option: a 190PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. As the name suggests, the Q2 sits below the Q3, which is currently discontinued in India. A teaser from the German carmaker suggests that the Q2 is about to be launched in India soon. Based on the teasers, Indian buyers are likely to get the pre-facelifted Q2.
Audi Q2 Competitors:
Although the Q2 won’t have any direct rivals in India, it will go up against the likes of the BMW X1, Volvo XC40 and even the Mini Countryman.

Renault Kiger (HBC)
The Renault HBC is a 5 seater B2-segment SUV which is likely to come with a single engine option: 1.0-litre 100PS turbo petrol engine. This engine was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and will be coupled with 6-speed manual transmission. This engine will not only power the Kiger but also the Renault Triber and Nissan Magnite. Expect a starting price of around Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Renault Kiger (HBC) Competitors:
The Renault Kiger (HBC) will rival the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Honda WR-V, the upcoming Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser and Nissan Magnite.
Expected Price: Rs. 6.5 - 10.00 Lakh
Expected Launch: October 2020
Launch Possibility: Low
