Mercedes-Benz has revealed its product lineup plans for 2018. Here are the car models that are expected to launch in the Indian car market from the house of the German luxury auto major.

    Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift

The C-Class will get a mid-life update next year, and as Mercedes brings all its important models pretty quickly to India, the C-Class facelift is likely to hit the Indian market in 2018. The C-Class has been around in India since 2015 and is one of the bestselling Merc products in this country. The C-Class rivals from Audi and BMW have been already updated, while the segment also got the new entrant - Jaguar XE. Thus, the undated C-Class is much needed.

The new Mercedes C-Class facelift would get some cosmetic changes like restyled front and rear bumpers, revised headlamps, etc. The updated C-Class is also expected to get the new 2.0L diesel motor that has been introduced in the E-Class LWB in India.

Mercedes Benz A-Class sedan and A-Class sedan LWB

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback was first launched in India in 2013, which received a facelift in 2015. The company has revealed its plans to launch the A-class sedan as well as its long-wheelbase version in 2018, and these are expected to come to India too.

Mercedes-Benz has good space in its portfolio in India to place the sedan version of the A-Class while also being more competitively priced against the prices of the Audi rivals. However, while the A-Class sedan and its LWB version won’t overlap with the prices of its bigger C-Class siblings, they would overlap the pricing of the CLA, or might be more. So, the A-Class LWB will be a better choice to bring in India, as the CLA will be continuing to remain the choice for those who wish to drive their own cars, while A-Class LWB would be the choice for the chauffer chauffeur-driven lot.

    Mercedes Benz G-Class Facelift

The Mercedes G-class will also be receiving a facelift next year. The Indian market only gets the G-63 AMG model. The luxury SUV is likely to get major exterior styling changes and would be 100 mm wider than the ongoing model. The G63 AMG and G65 AMG facelift might flaunt a Panamericana grille that can be seen on the AMG GT-R. The G-Class gets a 5.5L 572 PS V8 petrol mill coupled with a 7 speed automatic transmission in India.

    Mercedes Benz S-Class facelift

The S-Class is Mercedes-Benz’s flagship sedan in India, and will get a facelift next year. The updated model is similar to the outgoing model with mild exterior updates. It features a new wider grill and large air intakes. New headlights with new ultra range high beam LED lamps along with curve-tilting and road surface scan function. The rear gets revised tail lights. It is likely to launch in the Indian market soon.

The current S-Class comes powered by a 3.0L 333 PS V6 petrol and a 3.0L 258 PS V6 diesel motor option in India. The engines are mated to a 7 speed automatic transmission gearbox.
