Volkswagen Taigun Prices Hiked – New Features Added | V3Cars

Volkswagen India have announced a price hike for the Taigun SUV. The 2022 Volkswagen Taigun’s prices are now up by Rs 40,000 to Rs 60,000, depending on the variant. In addition to the latest price hike, VW have updated the feature list of the Taigun. The 2022 Taigun now gets engine idle start/stop and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as standard across all variants.

VW claims the addition of engine start/stop has boosted the fuel efficiency of the Dynamic line variants by 6%. The new fuel efficiency figures stand at 19.20kmpl and 17.23kmpl for the 1.0L petrol manual and automatic respectively.

The Taigun Performance line variants with the 1.5L turbo petrol engine now get glossy grey inserts on the dashboard in place of the glossy red inserts offered before. The glossy red inserts are now only available with the red exterior paint option. Other than these revisions, the Taigun doesn’t get any functional or technical changes.

Volkswagen offer the Taigun with a 115PS 1.0L turbo petrol and a 150PS 1.5L turbo petrol engines. The 1.0L turbo petrol comes with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 1.5L turbo petrol, on the other hand, comes with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Volkswagen Taigun goes rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Nissan Kicks and Skoda Kushaq.
