Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition Launched In India At Rs. 33.50 Lakh | V3Cars

Volkswagen have launched the Tiguan Exclusive Edition in India at Rs. 33.50 lakh ex-showroom. It comes with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine and it’s mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel-drive.

Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition Details

The Tiguan Exclusive Edition comes with new features, including new 18-inch alloy wheels, metal sill protectors for the boot, aluminium pedals, ‘Exclusive’ badges on the door pillar and self-leveling hub caps called Dynamic Volkswagen Hub Caps. The latter is akin to the self-leveling hub caps seen on Rolls-Royce cars such as the Phantom and Ghost. Furthermore, it also gets ‘Exclusive’ pillows for the rear seats. The Exclusive Edition comes in 2 white colour options.

The Tiguan comes with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine. It produces 190PS of power between 4200rpm and 6000rpm and 320Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 4100rpm. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of the Tiguan is 12.65kmpl.

Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition Rivals

The Tiguan Exclusive Edition goes up against other SUVs in its segment like the Citroen C5 Aircross and Jeep Compass. Earlier, Volkwagen offered the Tiguan Allspace, which was a 7-seater version of the Tiguan. However, it was brought to our market as a CBU in limited numbers and later discontinued whereas the new Tiguan comes with 5 seats and is sold via the CKD route.
