Hyundai Motor India Foundation hosted InnoFest 2026 as part of their education-focused initiatives aimed at encouraging scientific thinking among students. The event brought together school students from multiple districts to present innovative science models. InnoFest was organised under the foundation’s Vidya Vahini programme.

Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited, has announced the second edition of InnoFest under its flagship education-led programme Vidya Vahini. InnoFest is a national-level science fair aimed at celebrating innovation, curiosity, and scientific thinking among school students from underserved communities. The initiative reflects HMIF’s focus on strengthening STEM education through experiential learning in government schools.

InnoFest 2026 showcased 45 student-built science models developed by students from government schools across 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The event was held at the National Science Centre, New Delhi, from February 9 to 10, 2026, in partnership with Agastya International Foundation, the implementation partner for Vidya Vahini. The second edition attracted more than 1,200 visitors, underscoring the platform’s growing impact and its potential for year-on-year expansion.

Vidya Vahini is HMIF’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education programme designed to democratise access to experiential STEM learning. The programme currently reaches 364 government schools across 26 districts, benefiting nearly 50,000 students to date. It leverages Mobile Science Labs, Lab on Bike initiatives, and Science Libraries to provide rural classrooms with access to advanced STEM resources.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Puneet Anand, AVP and Vertical Head, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication and Social, Hyundai Motor India, said:

“InnoFest 2026 under Hyundai Motor India Foundation’s Vidya Vahini program gave 45 young innovators from 16 districts a national platform to showcase prototypes addressing realworld challenges. Guided by Hyundai’s global vision of Progress for Humanity, Vidya Vahini now engages nearly 50,000 students across 364 government schools in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, bringing handson STEM learning to communities with limited access. Our endeavour is clear: enable equitable STEM access and nurture future ready skills for Bharat.”

The Vidya Vahini programme is active across 22 districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Bhadohi, Jalaun, Chitrakoot, Lalitpur, Gonda, Ghazipur, Shravasti, Shahjahanpur, Shamli, Pilibhit, Lucknow, Meerut, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Badaun, Aligarh, Sambhal, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, and Saharanpur, as well as four districts in Haryana—Gurugram, Jind, Hisar, and Fatehabad.

Through Vidya Vahini, Hyundai Motor India Foundation continues to support students, teachers, and schools with immersive and cost-effective science education, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring that every child, regardless of economic background or location, has the opportunity to imagine, build, and solve for the future, contributing to a more inclusive and resilient Bharat.
